68 Corvette

January 2014

While looking for a new project, I grabbed this Revell 68 Covette, off my started pile. I was suprised to find it already painted & partially assembled.


Body painted Testors Colors by Boyd Pearl Orange

Left side


Engine painted Chevy orange, trans painted Metalizer Aluminum


Interior painted & flocked. Gauge "lenses" made with a drop of clear epoxy


Holly carb from my parts box. The body & float bowls are painted gold & the throttle plate is painted aluminum


Rocker moldings installed


Grill, black washed, parking lights painted turn signal amber & installed


Bumpers installed, tail lights assembled & installed


Interior fully assembled


Engine with plug wires, that need to be run to the distributor


Body with soft top


Distributor wired & Carb installed


Air cleaner covers all the detail on the carb


Fuel line added


The other side of the engine, showing the oil filter
