Top Fuel Dragster

May 2012

This model was built as a tribute to a young lady, who lost her battle with leukemia on May 6, 2005. For the last few years, several members of a Yahoo group, I belong to, have built models in her honor. Her favorite color was purple, so the main color of our builds is purple.

I started with a Monogram Gary Ormsby Top Fuel car. The chassis is painted in a custom mix of purple. The "aluminum" panels were painted silver, then painted with a transparent purple acrylic, to simulate anadized aluminium.
